This month of May has been one of those month where I have been ready to call it quits. I am in a serious financial hole. I am a single mother and a full time student. I have ran out of money and ideas to generate quick income. My unemployment has been cancelled. My landlord, who is also my sister in Christ, is taking me to court because of late payments. Even though she knows that I am currently taking the last class for my graduate class and she knows that I am trying all I that I can, the mortgage company do not not know that. I need a miracle, a serious one.
I love testimonies that come after spending time in the storm. I have been praying to God to reveal to me the power that he has given me to get wealth.
Deuteronomy 8:16-18: You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day. I also asked him to show me what he has placed in my hand that will generate wealth. Remember “Isaac planted crops in that land. That same year he gathered 100 times more than he planted.
That was because the Lord blessed him.” (Genesis 26:12). “Isaac became rich. His wealth continued to grow until he became very rich. He had many flocks and herds and servants.” (Genesis 26:13-14) For two days prior to Thursday May 22, 2014, I called on to the Lord for help and wisdom on what to do.
On Thursday, I ran out of money and gas in my car. My account is negative. I just spend my last funds to pay for my daughter’s class trip that I did not know that I had to pay for. One of my children said pull over, and I did. I pull into the parking space of the closest house that I could find. I called my spiritual mother for help. She was to tired and she was aching, so I call on a friend of mine and asked her if she could possibly help us out. She said yes. While we were waiting on her, the son of the house owner that uses the parking space that we were in came home. What an awkward moment to come out and apologize to a male of the same age as your daughter.
So I came out of my car to offer an apology to him. While I was explain what had happened, he said that he would give us gas. We did not need to wait for help to arrive he said and went into his garage to get some gas. He went home to get me a gallon of fuel. What a great help! I called my friend who was on her way to us to meet us at the gas station that is closer to where we were. While I was waiting on her I receive a divine idea that I have never had before. I came out of my car to distribute my business card to people. This how some of you receive my business cards.
My friend gave me $30 in addition to the 2 gallon of gas that she had purchase. I ended up sharing that money with another mother that was at the gas station who was looking thorough her car to find change to put gas in the car. As you read through my life experience for today, I hope it touches your heart. I hope you know that if you call on the Lord, He is great and mighty to answer your prayers.
